Independent directory. Not affiliated with the Social Security Administration.

Privacy policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026

SSA Directory is an independent directory of Social Security field offices. It is not affiliated with the Social Security Administration or any government agency. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We write it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect and when

You can browse the directory without giving us anything. We collect personal information only when you use our checklist journey. As you go through it, we collect what you enter: your phone number, your name, your city and state, your email address, and the office you plan to visit.

When you start the journey, we also record the moment you gave your consent, the exact consent wording you agreed to, the IP address your request came from, and your browser's user agent (the short line a browser sends to describe itself). We keep these as our record that you agreed.

When you submit a request, we also record which page you arrived on and where you came from, such as a search engine, an ad, or a link on another site. We use this only to understand how people find us. We do not record it for visitors who never submit a form.

Our forms include one hidden field that a real person never sees or fills in. If it gets filled in, that is a sign an automated bot submitted the form, and we mark that submission as likely automated. We do not use it to track you.

Like any website, our hosting keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses and basic details about each request. We use those logs to keep the site running and to rate-limit our forms against abuse.

Why we collect it

We use what you give us to send you the checklist you asked for and related help, to connect you with a local licensed advisor when you ask us to, and to protect the service from spam and abuse.

The phone number lookup

When you enter your phone number, we send it to a third-party identity service (in the reverse phone lookup category) to try to prefill your name and city so you only have to confirm them instead of typing them. We keep only the name, city, and state you confirm. We never store, log, or share anything else that lookup returns.

The chat widget on our home page

Our home page loads a chat widget provided by LeadConnector (also known as GoHighLevel), the service we use to send text messages. It is on the home page only, and no other page on this site loads it. If you use it and give it your name and phone number, that information comes to us and also goes to LeadConnector, so we can reply to you. The widget may set cookies in your browser.

How we share information

When you ask to be connected with an advisor, we pass your contact details to the specific licensed advisor who serves the office you chose. That is the only time your details go to an advisor.

That advisor receives your details only to serve the request you made, and may not use them for their own unrelated marketing. Our service providers, described below, process your information only on our behalf and only to provide the service we hired them for.

We use service providers to run the site, including hosting, our database, email delivery, and rate limiting, along with the phone lookup service described above. They may process your information only to provide those services to us, and for no other purpose.

We do not sell your personal information, ever. We may disclose information if the law requires it, such as a valid legal request.

Text and email messages

There are four places on this site where you can give us a phone number, and each one shows you what you are agreeing to before you go on: the checklist journey, the free benefit analysis report request, a seminar registration, and the chat widget on our home page. We never text or email you at a number or address you did not give us on one of those. We do not buy or rent phone numbers or lead lists for text messaging.

On the checklist journey and the report request, when you continue past the first step you agree to the following:

By continuing you agree that SSA Directory, a service of INSURASAFE LLC, and a licensed insurance agent may call, text, and email you, including by automated means, about claiming Social Security, long-term care costs, and Medicare Supplement coverage. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We are not the government and never sell your information. See our terms at ssadirectory.com/terms/ and our privacy policy at ssadirectory.com/privacy/.

A seminar registration shows its own version of that wording on the form, covering the confirmation and the reminders for the event you signed up for rather than the checklist help. The chat widget on our home page shows the opt-in wording provided by LeadConnector at the moment you use it. In every case we keep the exact wording you agreed to, along with the time you agreed, as our record.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text message from us to unsubscribe, and reply HELP to any text message from us for help. You can also email us at help@ssadirectory.com to stop hearing from us. We are not the government, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and are never sold. Where you have asked to be connected with a licensed advisor, your contact details are passed only to that advisor so they can fulfill your request.

Our terms of use cover the rest of the rules for using this site, including these messages.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us at help@ssadirectory.com and we will take care of it.

Some states, including California, give their residents specific privacy rights, such as the right to know what a business has collected, the right to have it deleted, and the right not to be discriminated against for asking. We honor these requests no matter which state you live in. We do not sell your personal information. The advertising and measurement tools described above may share limited information about your browsing with Google and Meta so we can measure our ads. If you want that stopped, or want your information removed, email us at help@ssadirectory.com and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

We keep the information you give us for as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as sending your checklist and connecting you with an advisor. When you ask us to delete it, we do.

Cookies, advertising, and measurement

We run ads, and we measure whether they work. That means a few scripts from other companies load on this site. These are all of them:

Google Ads conversion tracking loads on every page. We use it to see which of our ads led someone to ask us for help. It records that a request happened. It never carries what you typed into our forms: no name, no phone number, no email address.

The Meta pixel (Facebook) loads on our seminar pages only, and on no other page of this site. We use it to see which seminar registrations came from our Facebook ads.

The LeadConnector chat widget loads on our home page only, as described above.

These three may set cookies in your browser, and Google and Meta may use them to recognize your browser on other sites. Beyond these three, we run no other advertising or analytics trackers: no session recording, no heatmaps, and nothing that follows you around the rest of the directory. We do not share your information with data brokers or ad networks, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Our own forms also keep a short marker in your browser for the current tab, so one completed request is not counted twice. It is not a cookie and it disappears when you close the tab. Apart from that and the scripts above, the only record of your visit is the standard request log our hosting keeps, described above.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child gave us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
